This wasn’t the harvest date we had circled. The extreme heat pushed the reds hard and fast. So when the fruit told us it was ready, we picked it. Now it’s straight through the destemmer and into the fermenters—skins, juice, seeds, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with making red wine. No waiting for a calendar. Luckily milder weather is upon us. The vineyard spoke and we had to capture its essence the best way we know how, eventually filling your glass to the brim with terroir. 🍇 📹 : @hop_cone_pine_cone
