  • Best in Show + Best Red at the 2025 Governor’s Cup for our 2024 Zweigelt. We’re thrilled, humbled, and proud of the hard work behind this bottle, and grateful for the team that made it possible.

Our Zweigelt was named “the best wine currently available in Colorado until further notice.” We don’t take that lightly.

Deep respect for this year’s field: 251 entries from 53 wineries. Colorado wine is soaring because of the talent, grit, and curiosity of our colleagues across the state, and our visiting neighbors. We’re honored to stand alongside you.

Thank you to the judges for your thoughtful palates and words: Doug Frost, MS, MW; Alder Yarrow (Vinography); and Patrick Comiskey (Los Angeles Times).
And cheers to Colorado Uncorked for an unforgettable night, and to The Wolf’s Tailor for the inspired pairing.

A quiet brag while we’re here: our 2023 Syrah also earned Double Gold.

Onward, Colorado wine.

  • 🌟 Behind the Pour: HANNAH, our beautiful and talented Assistant Winemaker! 🌟

At Sauvage Spectrum, every bottle tells a story—and behind those bottles are incredible people like Hannah! As our Assistant Winemaker, there’s no such thing as a “typical day” for her. From monitoring fermentation and blending, to helping in the tasting room, running farmers markets, and even taking on our social media! Phew, talk about multitasking 😅💪🏼

🍇Her Wine Journey
After leaving art school in search of direction, Hannah fell in love with organic farming in Pennsylvania. That path led to a vineyard job where she was trained in the cellar—and from there, winemaking became both a passion and a calling. The mix of art, science, and history captured her heart, eventually leading them to Colorado and to Sauvage Spectrum!

Favorite things?
🍇 Wine: Our Grand Vin Bordeaux blend (earthy + plummy perfection).

🍕 Pairing: Pizza + Zinfandel = FOREVER

🎶 Cellar track: Red, Red Wine (of course).

🌍 Beyond the Cellar
Whether it's rock climbing, drawing, or dreaming of vineyard-hopping in Europe, Hannah is always chasing adventure and inspiration. (Fun fact: she even traveled as far as Madagascar!)

We’re so grateful for Hannah’s creativity, energy, and adventurous spirit. You help make Sauvage Spectrum innovative, fun, and welcoming every single day! CHEERS TO YOU!!!!🥂💙💛🍷

  • Behind the Pour: Jessica!

Jessica is reallly into wine (swipe to see just how into wine she is.)

This is Jessica’s very first summer at Sauvage Spectrum and she’s already mastered the art of making wine fun.

While some folks think tastings should be serious, Jessica is here to add the silly and make sure your experience is as balanced as our blends.

After living in Palisade for over 10 years, she’s watched the wine scene come alive and was thrilled to finally jump in herself. Her Midwest roots still run deep, though- she grew up in a small Wisconsin town and swears by a plate of cheese curds paired with a big bold red.

When you ask her what she loves about working here, Jessica is quick to say it doesn’t feel like working at all. “This should truly be my favorite aspect of playing at Sauvage- can’t be in a bad mood when there’s wine in your glass”. She loves busting the myth that wine is an elite, pinkies-up experience- because to her, wine is for everyone.

Her Sauvage go-to? The All Day Verde. She’ll tell you it’s the perfect dry, crisp white for Palisade’s hot, dry summers- and she isn’t wrong.

Her favorite pairing is a crisp green apple and goat cheese salad with our Cero. (Chef’s kiss.)

When she’s not at Sauvage, Jessica’s favorite place on earth is close to home: Telluride, CO. And when she’s not working with wine, she’s working in sales to help schools create safe, phone-free spaces.

But her favorite pastime of all? Watching her daughter discover her own talents and passions. 💕

Jessica’s motto: Life’s too short to take wine (or yourself) too seriously. #cowine #behindthepour #drinklocal

Behind the Pour: Jessica!

She’ll tell you it’s the perfect dry, crisp white for Palisade’s hot, dry summers- and she isn’t wrong. Her favorite pairing is a crisp green apple and goat cheese salad with our Cero. (Chef’s kiss.) When she’s not at Sauvage, Jessica’s favorite place on earth is close to home: Telluride, CO. And when she’s not working with wine, she’s working in sales to help schools create safe, phone-free spaces. But her favorite pastime of all? Watching her daughter discover her own talents and passions. 💕 Jessica’s motto: Life’s too short to take wine (or yourself) too seriously. #cowine #behindthepour #drinklocal
