Sauvage Named Grape Grower of the Year

We were proud to announce that Sauvage Spectrum’s co-founder, Kaibab Sauvage, was named Grape Grower of the Year at the 2026 VinCo Conference.

At Sauvage Spectrum, we’re inspired by the people and organizations who keep Colorado wine moving forward. And this year’s VinCO Conference reminded us exactly why our state’s wine community is so special.

Four people stand on a stage smiling, two holding trophies. Behind them is a black curtain and a thank-you sign listing event sponsors.

Hosted January 20–22, 2026, at the Grand Junction Convention Center, the annual VinCO Conference and Trade Show—presented by the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE)—brought together grape growers, winemakers, and industry partners from across Colorado and beyond.

The conference delivered meaningful education, thoughtful collaboration, and ample opportunities to reconnect with peers who share a passion for growing great wine in a challenging and rewarding climate.

As CAVE Executive Director Cassidee Shull noted during the conference, VinCO is about more than education. It’s about strengthening relationships, sharing hard-earned knowledge, and collectively shaping the future of Colorado wine. From our perspective, that spirit of openness and collaboration was felt in every session and hallway conversation.

This award recognizes Kaibab’s dedication, innovation, and long-term commitment to Colorado wine. His passion continues to elevate Colorado as a serious and distinctive wine region.

We’re grateful to CAVE, the speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who made VinCO 2026 such a success. Events like this reinforce why we’re proud to be part of Colorado’s wine community—and why collaboration, education, and shared stewardship matter as our industry grows.
